International Workshop Brazil – UK 2023 (Universo & Loughborough University)
This workshop has been organised by the Postgraduate Programme in History (PPGH) of Salgado de Oliveira University (UNIVERSO), the Hermes Network of International Researchers in Borders, Integration and Conflicts, and Loughborough University (IRPH), in the scope of the NETZMIL research project.
It aims to contribute to a more encompassing and integrative debate by presenting discussions based on social and human science-integrated approaches. Engaging with both defence practitioners and the academic community, this moderated debate aims to analyse the military, the relationships within defence, their dynamics within the context and the challenges of developing and guaranteeing environmental protection and conservation, as well as retaining the armed forces’ operational effectiveness and keeping pace with the energy transition, particularly with decarbonisation in the horizon of both countries.
